For sale here is a rare HL Leonard model 37-2, 6'6" 2/2 2wt bamboo rod in mint condition. Blonde cane with 3x3 nodes, dark snake guides and carbide stripper. Wraps are transparent tan with crimson accents. Bright 10/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with an aluminum ferrule plug. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#81222). Strap & ring hook keeper, 4.5" cork grip (still encased in plastic) and cap & ring reel seat over beautiful blonde spacer. The reel seat hardware is bright nickel silver, and the butt retains the HL Leonard roll stamp. Weight is 2.61oz. Medium action, rated as a 2wt but it feels more like a 3wt to me. A spectacular late-era Leonard in "as-delivered" condition. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube with aftermarket tube protector.
