For sale here is a scarce H.L. Leonard model 47-3 Catskill, 6'6" 3/2 3wt bamboo rod in mint condition. Blonde tempered cane with 3x3 nodes, dark snake guides and full circle stripper. Wraps are transparent gold with red accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (83143). Bright ferrules fit perfectly (females have machined aluminum plugs), and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Slender 4.5" grip is encased in plastic, and the rod is fitted with the standard cap & ring reel seat over light wood spacer. The Leonard rolls stamp is crisp & clear on the butt cap. Weight is 2.47oz. Action feels medium fast. Responsive, but still has plenty of life to it; no small feat in a 6'6" rod. A fabulous post-Maxwell Leonard rod, in as-new condition, ready to fish or collection. Sold in the original bag and tube. The brass tube collar has the Leonard roll stamp, and the tube packs into a cloth protector.
