For sale here is an 8'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 6wt hollow built bamboo rod made by Marty Karstetter. Serial #22817, excellent+ used condition. Featuring medium tempered cane with 2x2 nodes, oxidized snake guides and banded agate stripper wrapped in transparent toffee colored windings & chestnut accents. Truncated Swiss ferrules are blued and the fit is perfect. All sections are straight and full length. 6" grip with cap & ring reel seat over walnut spacer. The butt cap reads "Marty Karstetter - Maker". A very well cared for rod, the only signs of use are some marks to the reel seat where a reel was mounted, and light bluing loss to the butt cap. 3 3/4oz scripted weight, although it's just over 3.8oz on my scale. Action is on the faster side of medium fast. The rod has a very powerful butt and feels capable of casting a mile, but remains light in the hand. Sold in original bag and tube with Karstetter decal.
