For sale here is a Gary Howells 7'6" 2/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. All original, made in 1973 for Angler's All. Medium tempered cane with bright guides and chocolate brown windings with gold accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#4054), and the ferrules fit perfectly. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6" grip and cap & ring reel seat over cork spacer. The cork is smooth with light soiling, and the varnish is in excellent condition throughout. A bit of varnish remains within the snake guides; this rod has been used sparingly and well cared for. Weight is 3 1/4oz (scripted & actual. Medium action, a lovely dry fly rod with a DT5 line. Sold in the original bag and tube with G.H. Howells data label affixed.
