Serial #3816, made in 1971 for Anglers All. Medium tempered cane with color preserved chestnut brown windings and gold tipping. Overwrapped ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length, straight \u0026amp; serialized. Tapered skeleton grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with bright aluminum reel seat hardware with Bakelite butt plate. Scripted weight is 2 1\/2oz, and my scale reads just a touch over that. Rated as a 4wt, although in my hands it's more of a 3\/4wt. Medium action, a delightful 7-footer from Howells' 2nd year in production. One tip has a few small varnish scratches, but the other tip looks essentially unused.
