For sale here is a Jim Hidy 8'2" 3-piece / 2-tip 4wt, hollowbuilt bamboo rod. Excellent+ condition, I see no signs the rod was ever fished. Medium flamed cane with lightly oxidized guides and fine agate stripper, wrapped in transparent olive silks with dark accents. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. Tips are marked for ease of rotation. The butt sections bears the makers signature and the serial number (X2H641H-3). Cork grip is clean and smooth. Blued nickel silver cap & ring reel seat over fine wood spacer. Medium action with delicate tips. It casts a DT4 beautifully. Hollowbuilt construction and light in the hand, the overall weight is 3.3oz. A smooth casting 4wt from a master of the craft. Sold in the original bag and brass capped tube.
