Hardy - Uniqua Salmon 4" Fly Reel

For sale here is a pre-WWII Hardy Uniqua Salmon 4" fly reel. Very good used condition. Dark leaded finish, telephone latch and oversized ebonite handle grasp. The ribbed brass foot has been filed on both ends and the reel shows signs of honest use. The pawls are oriented RHW and the rim mounted tensioner works as intended, but the resistance is practically neutral, especially at the top end. Mechanically tight with very little end-play. Weight is 12.35oz. A decent salmon Uniqua to pair with your favorite 2-hand rod. Reel foot length is often an obstacle with these pre-war Hardy reels, but this one could be altered further without worry of losing its "originality". Sold in a modern neoprene pouch.
