Hardy - St. George 3" Fly Reel

For sale here is a Hardy St. George 3" reel in good used condition. All original with straight line lettering, leaded frame and bright spool. Chrome plated line guard displays some small areas of flaking, but it remains smooth. The finish is worn throughout, and it looks like the 3-screw spool latch cover was removed at some point as the screw heads don't align perfectly with the decorative rings incised on the cover. The latch works as intended, and the rim mounted tensioner works perfectly with strong resistance on the top end. Ribbed brass foot is full length, and the reel weighs 5.71oz. Cosmetically a bit rough, but a very usable example of the scarce 3-screw 3" St. George. Sold in a period correct box with drawstring (Pflueger) pouch).
