For sale here is a pre-WWII Hardy Perfect 3 3/4" salmon reel in very good used condition. RHW. Featuring a unaltered smooth brass foot (3.5" long), ebonite handle grasp and roped tensioner. Oversized pawls with non-engageable spare. The tensioner works as intended and the reel has an incredibly strong check for handling bigger fish. Leaded finish has worn to a warm gray patina. A bit of dispersed line burn on the second pillar. There is a small chip to the frame between the two bottom pillars. It looks like this chip was never in danger of causing any mechanical issues, and it has been neatly repaired. I see no associated cracks and the repair looks quite stable. A great size to pair with a variety of 2-handed rods, ready to hit the water again. Sold in a modern Hardy neoprene pouch.
