For sale here is a Hardy Perfect 2 7/8" fly reel in excellent original condition. Pre-war vintage, this is a 1920's reel featuring smooth brass foot, roped tensioner screw and ebonite handle grasp. The leaded finish has worn to a steely gray patina, and the agate line guard has a hairline crack near the top. Mechanically and cosmetically excellent, except for some small tool marks on the inside of the tensioner screw (tensioner works as intended). RHW only. A tight example of a rather desirable size Hardy Perfect. The resistance is strong, and it will make a perfect pairing with a 3 or 4wt cane rod. Sold in a blue fleece pouch.
