Hardy - Palakona 7'2" 2/1 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Hardy Palakona 7'2" 2/1 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Lightly tempered cane, bright guides and clear agate stripping guide. Wraps are black & green, and the sections are full length & straight. Blued ferrules fit perfectly with an approximate 1/8" gap (made this way, by Hardy). "D/L" date code, completed in April of 1975. Skeleton cork grip & seat with Hardy's universal reel holder hardware. The cork is bright and smooth, and the spiral script on the butt section is nice and bold. The varnish is perfect, I doubt this rod has seen much use. Weight is 3.46oz. Medium fast 5wt action with a powerful tip. This rod can sling some line! Sold in the original bag and modern aluminum tube.
