Halstead, G.H. - 6' 2/2 Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 6' 2-piece / 2-tip bamboo rod made by George Halstead. A rather scarce configuration. Medium flamed cane, bronzed snake guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are golden brown on the butt sections and darker brown on the tips (possibly rewrapped). There are also some loose wraps on the stripping guide. Ferrules fit perfectly. 5" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with an aluminum winding check and aluminum slide band reel seat over mahogany spacer. The rod requires attention, as there are two open glue lines along the seams about 8" above the grip. The issue is seen on opposite sides of the rod, and you can see daylight through the rod where the glue has failed.  A good candidate for restoration; there aren't many 6' Halsteads floating around. This one has fairly stout tips, my guess is it'll like a 5 or 6wt line. Sold in the original bag & tube with brass collar, and priced with this major condition consideration in mind.
