For sale here is a Goodwin Granger 8642 Victory, 8'6" 3/2 6wt bamboo rod. The rod looks mostly original, although the ferrule may have been reset/rewrapped at some point. Dark ammoniated cane with variegated wraps and black tipping. Ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are full length. Both tips have slight fish fighting sets. The varnish is alligatored throughout, but the varnish isn't soft. One tip has noticeably less alligatoring, but the wraps look original. My guess is this tip was buffed down and/or overcoated. Coke bottle grip is smooth with faint ridging (it was cleaned at some point), and the rod is fitted with the all nickel silver Granger slide band reel seat. Weight is 4.72oz. Medium fast action, I like it with a 6wt, but some may prefer it with a 5wt line. Sold in the original bag and fiber tube with partial label.
