Goodwin Granger - Model 7030 Aristocrat, 7' 2/2 Bamboo Fly Rod

For sale here is a rare Goodwin Granger model 7030 Aristocrat, 7' 2/2 bamboo fly rod. A fine example of a very desirable rod, masterfully restored by John Bradford. Originally made between 1939-1941, the Aristocrat was one of three models to be made in the 7' length. By the late 1930's almost all Granger rods were produced with the up-locking reel seat, yet the narrow slide band was retained as a weigh-saving feature on some of the shorter dry fly rods like this one. 2 piece, 2 tips, all sections straight and full length. Original elliptical full wells "hammer handle" grip shows some slight ridging. Gold wraps with dark brown tipping throughout. Ferrule fit is excellent and the rod is in fantastic condition. This is a great opportunity to own a rather scarce 5th era Goodwin Granger 7' rod. Comes with original bag and enameled tube.
