For sale here is a Farlows 175th anniversary "Regal" fly reel in excellent+ condition. Made in three sizes for Farlows' 175th anniversary in 2015, this is the 3.5" model in LHW and limited to 10 examples. They spared no expense creating these reels. Featuring type 3 anodizing throughout with a black frame/silver spool and winding plate. Naval brass fittings and solid brass reel foot with fish engraved on the bottom. Metal line guard, rim mounted tensioner and faux ivory handle grasp. The tensioner works as intended with very strong caliper spring check. Weight is 12.71oz loaded with line and backing. The foot has some light mounting marks, but the rest of the reel looks nearly new. By Farlows’ own advertising, these anniversary reels were built better than anything they produced in the early days of the company. This reel is marked No. 2 internally, although it comes with the box and papers marked No. 1 (they must have gotten switched up at some point). Included is the original leather and canvas zipper case with 175th anniversary logo embossed.
