For sale here is an Edwards Quadrate model #54, 8'6" 7wt bamboo rod. 3-piece / 2-tip, serial #7721. Medium toned cane with oxidized snake guides and carbide stripper. Wraps are red with black tipping. The entire rod has received an overcoat, uneven in places and a few spots with imprints from the bag. The bottom snake guide on the mid and the tip-top wraps are replacements. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. U-shaped hook keeper, 6" cork grip with squared bakelite winding check. The cork is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with an up-locking aluminum reel seat over dark wood spacer. The butt cap can be removed to accommodate a 5" fighting butt (included). It casts a DT7 with authority. A fishable model #54 with a few condition considerations.
