Edwards, E.W. - Autograph Deluxe 120, 9' 2/2 6wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an E.W. Edwards Autograph Deluxe model 120, 9' 2/2 6wt bamboo rod. Fully restored, the rod is in fine shape and appears to have been fished very little since the refresh. Moderately flamed cane with dark purple & gold windings and blued ferrules. The ferrules fit perfectly, and the sections are straight except a subtle sweep to one tip. The butt is scripted in white ink that has faded to a pale yellow: "E.W. Edwards Autograph - De Luxe 120 - 9' ". 6" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with an uplocking reel seat over dark wood spacer. Butt cap & winding check are Bakelite. Weight is 5.43oz. Medium action, it feels like it will cast a DT6 nicely. The model 120 is a relatively scarce one, however the script and partial tube decal indicates this rod was probably made by Gene Edwards either just before or just after Eustis Edwards passed away in 1931. Sold in the original bag and tube with partial Edwards/Horton Mfg. decal.
