Crocker, K.C. - 9' 2/2 Bamboo Salmon Rod

For sale here is a 9' 2-piece / 2-tip Ken Crocker bamboo salmon rod. Weight is 6.5oz without the fighting butt extension, it feels like it would handle an 8wt. Good used condition, with small hints of bag burn and a few small checks to the varnish. All sections are straight and full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. Bright guides wrapped with burgundy and gold windings. 8" cork grip is lightly soiled and mostly smooth, although there is a good chunk missing about 3" down from the winding check. Aluminum screw lock reel seat over black composite spacer, and the rod comes with a 3.5" removable fighting butt (cork is soiled with some hook digs where it meets the rubber). Ken Crocker never achieved much of a following outside of New England (he made rods out of Rangely, ME), but they are honest rods that represent nice value. This one is sold in what appears to be the original bag and a rubber capped Herter's rod tube. From the collection of Thomas H. Clark.
