Charlton - 8550c Fly Reel w/ Tarpon Spool
$2,950.00
For sale here is a Charlton 8550c fly reel with Tarpon spool in excellent+/near mint condition. RHW, serial #9654. The 8550c's have been the gold standard for big game fly fishing for many years. The machining is perfect, the type III anodizing is tough as nails, and the fully sealed carbon drag is buttery smooth throughout its astonishing range. Loaded with Hatch 68lb gelspun backing and a flat mono running line, this reel is ready to fish although I doubt it has seen much action on the water. The anodizing remains perfect and there are no obvious signs of use. The Tarpon spool is great size for a wide variety of applications, not just its namesake. A beautiful reel sold in the original green Cordura case.
