Carlson, C.W. - 7' 2/2 4wt Quad Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a spectacular 7' 2/2 4wt quad bamboo rod from the bench of C.W. "Sam" Carlson. Excellent+ condition. Flamed bamboo with dark red windings and black accents. The snake guides and Mildrum stripping guide are darkly oxidized and the squared ferrules fit perfectly. All sections are full length, straight & serialized (#852). A black Bakelite winding check leads into the 6" cork grip (smooth with a hint of soiling), and cap & ring reel seat over mortised walnut spacer. The reel seat hardware bluing remains near perfect, and the butt cap itself is mounted to a piece of jet black Pakkawood at the base of the spacer. Weight is 3.35oz. Action is on the medium side of medium fast. A DT4 suits this rod marvelously. Made in 1985, this rod has seen very little action and is ready to fish or collect. A very desirable taper from Mr. Carlson. Sold in the original bag and tube.
