Canfield, Mark (Red Willow & Co.) - Kamloops 8'9" 2/1 7wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Mark Canfield "Kamloops" 8'9" 2/1 7wt bamboo rod in excellent+ condition. Made as a limited series and faithful homage to the rare EC Powell "Kamloops" rods, originally made for EC's customers who fished with him in BC for the legendary Kamloops rainbows. Medium tempered cane, bright snake guides and carbide stripping guides. Wraps are variegated with burgundy and gold accents. Overwrapped ferrules fit perfectly, and both sections are full length, straight & serialized (#532). 6.3" cork grip is clean and smooth. The hard-rubber reel seat spacer is a Powell original, and the aluminum reel seat was recreated by the maker to match the original Powell hardware. Mini cork end button with a short cutaway from an original Powell rod, showing the Port Orford cedar laminations within. Weight is 5.29oz. Medium fast action, it loads into the butt section with a WF or DT7. Most would consider it a "strong C-taper", and I suspect it would handle a lighter 8wt line as well. Another interesting rod from the bench of Mr. Canfield. Sold in the original bag and Powell-original tube with the proper brass hardware.
