Brandin, Per - Model 763-2df, 7'6" 2/3 Hollow Built Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Per Brandin model 763-2df, 7'6" 2-piece 3wt with 3 tips. Originally built as a demo rod with 4 tips (marked either "H" or "L"), 2 of the "H" tips remain and one of the "L"s. 4-strip, hollow built construction, featuring medium flamed cane, oxidized snake guides and Mildrum stripping guide wrapped in transparent olive windings with dark accents. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (3/93). Blued nickel silver ferrules fit perfectly, and the tip tops are marked to distinguish H & L tips. Lithe 5.8" cork grip is clean and smooth. Up-locking slide band reel seat over myrtle wood spacer. An unusual reel seat with knurled nickel silver checks and cork end cap. The spacer has a few spots of worn varnish, but nothing that requires attention. Weight is 2.72oz with the H tips, and just slightly less with the L tip. Medium fast action, very light in the hand and more power reserves that I would expect for a rod this light. Very comfortable at short and medium distances with a DT or WF3, but also quite capable of reaching out past 50'. An early Brandin quad in marvelous shape, ready to fish. Sold in the original brass capped tube (sans label) and what appears to be a replacement bag. The orange canvas tube protector was added later.
