Bolt, R.K. - 7'6" 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6" 2/2 5wt bamboo rod made by R.K. Bolt. An early Bolt rod, made prior to his purchase of the Howells shop (serial #5/97). Medium flamed cane with 3x3 nodes. Dark guides wrapped in transparent honey-colored wraps with dark accents. All sections are straight and full length. Ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. Bent wire hook keeper (just slightly cocked to one side), 6.2" cork grip (smooth with a hint of soiling), and cap & ring reel seat over dark wood spacer. The rod has a slightly swelled butt and weighs 4.23 oz. On the medium side of medium fast, the data label on the tube indicates the rod is a 4wt but it feels like a strong 5wt in my hands. The rod remains in excellent used condition and is ready for service. Sold in the original bag and aluminum tube with data label affixed.
