For sale here is a Tim Bedford model 7613, 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 5wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Straw colored cane with 3x3 nodes. Bright guides and blued Swiss-style ferrules wrapped in golden bronze windings. All sections are straight & full length, and the ferrules fit perfectly. The varnish is in excellent condition throughout. 6" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a down-locking screw lock reel seat over blonde burl spacer. A nice progressive action 5wt, although I suspect it would cast a 4wt as well. A fine trout rod with wonderful mid-western rod making heritage. Tim Bedford was lifelong friends with Lyle Dickerson and purchased the Dickerson shop in 1972. Bedford made rods under his own name (mostly on Dickerson tapers) out of Oakland CA before the shop passed to Jim Schaff. This rod comes in the original bag and Champion tube.
