For sale here is a Mario Wojnicki 265V8, 8'8" 2-piece / 1-tip 8wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. 5-strip construction, the rod is built on a medium tempered blank with lightly oxidized guides and transparent tan windings. Both sections are straight, full length & serialized (#1126B). Blued ferrules fit perfectly. 6 3/4" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with an up-sliding reel seat over fine wood spacer. The reel seat hardware is knurled and blued, and the butt cap is cork & Micarta. Weight is 4.83oz. Medium fast action, an authoritative 8wt with semi-parabolic character. This is one of Mario's personal rods, mostly used to target striped bass in the waters around the San Francisco Bay. Sold in Mario's signature fold-over bag and a Scott Powr-Ply tube.
