For sale here is a Don Schroeder 7'6" 3/2 4wt bamboo rod in near mint condition. Medium flamed cane, dark guides and red agate stripper. Cinnamon colored wraps with dark brown accents and full intermediate wraps. All sections are full length, dead straight & serialized (#40005). Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and the females are fitted with brass and cork ferrule plugs. The smaller ferrule plug has a small piece of cork that has broken away, but the fit is still good. 6" grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with a blued cap & ring reel seat over highly figured mortised wood spacer. Schroeder's stamp is clean and crisp on the butt cap. The bluing is near-perfect throughout, as is the varnish. One tiny mark to the reel seat spacer, the rod is lawn cast only. Weight is 3.92oz. Crisp, medium fast 4wt action. One of the finest Schroeder rods you are likely to see. Sold in the original bag and Arne Mason leather tube.
