For sale here is a Steve Kiley 7'6" 2/2 3-4wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Medium toned cane, red wraps with black tipping. Banded red agate stripping guide. Super-Z style ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight and full length. 7" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with a nickel silver up-locking reel seat over fine burl spacer. The maker's stamp remains clean and clear on the reel seat collar. Weight is 4.02oz. Progressive action, on the medium side of medium fast. Kiley remains a bit of an unsung Oregon rod maker, but his rods are nicely finished and have great actions. At one point he made blanks for the Orvis rod company, which speaks to the quality of his work. This rod is sold in the original bag and aluminum tube.
