Dickerson, Lyle - Model 801510, 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Dickerson 801510, 8' 3/2 5wt bamboo rod. Good condition, although the rod received an extensive reconditioning at some point in the past. The butt is scarfed about 10" from the ferrule. The rod comes with 2 mid sections one of which is scarfed in the middle, a bit closer to the male ferrule. Looking at the node work and the tone of the cane, I think the top half of the scarfed mid is original to the rod, and the second mid is a complete reproduction. Neither of the female ferrule on the mids have welts, leading me to believe they are non-original. The tips appear correct and free of repair. All sections are straight, and the ferrules fit nicely. The entire rod has been stripped, re-wrapped and revarnished. The script on the butt appears correct, although a bit faded from the refinish. Bent loop hook keeper, wide NS winding check and 5.5" cork grip (lightly soiled and ridged). Early wide-thread down locking reel seat over wood spacer. A flawed, but fishable rod. Sold in the original bag and tube.
