For sale here is an 8' 2-piece / 2-tip 2wt 'GMS' semi-hollow hex rod made by Per Brandin. Excellent condition, the rod has clearly seen little use. The taper was born out of a request by angler & artist Galen Mercer for a long, ultra-light rod designed specifically for targeting large fish. The result is the model 'GMS' - Galen Mercer Special. The rod features hard coated snake guides and red agate stripper wrapped in pale green silks and red accents. All sections are straight and full length, and the micro-Swiss ferrules fit perfectly. Ventilated cork grip & reel seat with blued nickel silver cap and ring. 2 3/8oz stated and actual weight. The taper was developed in 2016/2017 and only a few examples were produced. A rare opportunity. Sold in the original bag & tube with canvas tube protector.
