For sale here is a sought after Sage 504L fly reel and 2 spare spools, made by Hardy's in England. Based on Hardy's JLH reels, Sage commissioned a run of these reels in the 1990's. Designed for light, delicate trout fishing, the 504L features fully ported frame and spool for weight reduction and reversible nickel silver line guard for RHW or LHW fishing (this one is currently set for LHW). Excellent+ condition, a few light mounting marks but the dark bronze finish remains in near perfect shape. These reels have become quite desirable and the 504 is a perfect size for most 4/5wt fishing. Capacity is for a WF5 + 60yds. 3 1/8" diameter with a spool width of 3/4". The spare spools each come in their original boxes (one spool has a small nick to the rim, the other looks unused). The reel packs into what appears to be the original suede zipper case.
