Heddon - Imperial 125 Fly Reel w/ Box

For sale here is a Heddon Imperial 125 fly reel in Excellent++/ near mint condition with the original red & white box. This is a post-war reel with black enamel paint finish, metal spool latch cover and rectangular metal line guard with rolling pillars. 3 1/4" diameter, the reel weighs 5.65oz and is best for 4/5/6wt fishing. The reel foot is un-marred and the 3-position drag adjuster works as intended. The drag adjustment settings are numbered, and there is a small casting error in the frame next to the "1" drag setting. The reel is in amazing condition throughout. The black handle grasp spins on its post, albeit sluggishly. This is probably due to lack of use, it will require some breaking in if the reel is to be fished. A very fine example to fish or collect. The original box is shelf worn and split at the corners and back, though the printing inside remains crisp and clear. For the Heddon fan, a nice example to fish or collect.
