J.W. Young / Milward - 'Archer' 3" Fly Reel

For sale here is a 3" Milward 'Archer' fly reel, made by J.W. Young. This is a wartime/post war reel with black enamel finish and white composite handle grasp. Solid frame and spool with brass counterbalance and fixed RHW check. The check mechanism can be disengaged via a toggle on the back of the reel. Mechanically without fault, although the finish shows signs of honest wear. 3" diameter with a spool width of 3/4", a nice size for a 4 or 5wt.
