Hardy - Perfect 3" Widespool - War Time Finish

For sale here is a scarce Hardy Perfect 3" widespool in excellent used condition. This is a wartime reel, finished with black enamel paint. Mechanically very tight, featuring black enamel finish, full length smooth brass foot, single click & pawl with rim mounted tensioner and "JS" stamping on the winding plate (Jimmy Smith). The handle spins freely and the tensioner works as intended. The enamel paint finish is mostly intact, with wear in the usual spots, especially the rims and some chips on the spool arbor. The finish on these reels was rather prone to wear and most examples are quite rough. A beautiful reel in a supremely usable size. A worthy addition to any Hardy collection.
