Winston - IM6 9' 3wt 2-Piece Graphite Rod

For sale here is a Winston IM6 9' 3wt 2-piece graphite rod in very good used condition. Serial #2972, a 1st generation Winston IM6 rod made in 1983. Built on a deep green sanded blank with bright guides wrapped in green windings with oxblood accents. Both sections are serialized, and the spigot ferrules fit perfectly with a gap to allow for wear over time. U-shaped hook keeper with nickel silver winding check, 6.5" full wells grip and cap & ring reel seat over cork spacer. The cork has some light soiling, but remains smooth. A phenomenal 3wt taper, with full flexing medium action. The ultimate in graphite finesse, and the extra reach of the 9-footer is handy. Capable of protecting light tippet, it's also a great roll caster and very capable of tight-line or sight nymphing. Sold in the original lime green bag and aluminum tube with Winston sticker.
