Henshaw, Chris (Barney Reels) - 4 1/4" Fly Reel

For sale here is a 4 1/4" plate wind reel from the bench of Chris Henshaw (Barney Reels). Excellent+ used condition, this is a RHW only, narrow drum reel with 1912 checkwork. Strapped tensioner, smooth brass foot and nickel silver line guard. Bright finish is clean throughout, and the reel shows a few minor signs of use, mostly to the rims and reel foot. Weight is 17.11oz loaded with line and backing. Diameter is 4 1/4" and the spool width is 0.80". A lovely salmon/steelhead reel from the master reel maker, sold the original leather pouch.
