Hardy - Perfect 3 3/8" Fly Reel - 1906 Check

For sale here is a Hardy 3 3/8" Perfect, 1906 check fly reel in good original condition. Dark leaded finish with smooth brass foot, Ivorine handle grasp and dark red agate line guide. The agate ring is flawless, and the reel foot is full length and unmolested. The bottom pillar has some line burn at the base, and the frame has two hairline cracks on the spool side near the reel foot. They appear to be stable and have probably been there for a long time. 4-cusp spool with nickel silver retaining screw. Strap-over tensioner works as intended and the 1906 check work has wonderfully strong resistance. All 3 pieces are stamped with a "5", and the winding plate is engraved with "JBW from CEWW". Weight is 7.44oz. A nice early contracted Perfect, ready to fish or collect.
