For sale here is a Charlton 8550c fly reel in excellent+ condition. RHW with the Bonefish spool. The 8550c's have been the gold standard for big game fly fishing for many years. The machining is perfect, the type III anodizing is tough as nails, and the fully sealed carbon drag is buttery smooth throughout its astonishing range. The beauty of the Charlton configurable reels is that spools of different sizes are interchangeable. 4 1/2" diameter with a spool width of 1 3/16" and an arbor diameter of 2 7/8". A nice for a 7/8/9wt, the extra large arbor allows for rapid line pickup. The only evidence of use is some light mounting marks to the foot, the frame and spool remain perfect and the chrome parts retain their mirror finishes. Sold in the original Cordura case.
