For sale here is a Thomas & Thomas Hendrickson 8'6" 3/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent original condition. Designed as the precision dry fly rod in the individualist series, the Hendrickson model was available in the early days of T&T from 6'6" up to 8'6". Wheat straw tempered cane with 3x3 nodes, dark guides and transparent gold windings with brown/black at the ferrules and hook keeper. All sections are straight, full length & serialized (#2822). Ferrules fit perfectly and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. All script is clear and bold, and the original owner's name is inked on the butt section. 6" cork grip is clean and smooth, and the rod is fitted with an up-locking reel seat over mortised walnut spacer. The butt is gently swelled, and the action is medium fast. Weight is 5.19oz. A very fine T&T dry fly rod from the mid/late 1970's. Sold in the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube.
