For sale here is an 8' 2-piece / single tip 5wt bamboo rod made by Chris Raine (Dunsmuir Rod Co). This is a "Classic" series rod from Chris, based off a Payne 103 taper. Lightly tempered cane with bright guides and hardware, wrapped in honey bronze silks. Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly and both sections are full length and arrow straight (this is a new rod from the maker). 6" cigar grip with cap & ring reel seat over spalted wood spacer. A strong 5wt, I like it best with a weight forward, and the action is on the medium side of medium fast. Chris' Classic series rods are quite true to the original tapers and they represent fantastic value. Whether you're looking for your first cane rod or you're adding to an ever expanding quiver, this is a great all-arounder. Sold in the original bag and tube with makers decal.
