For sale here is a nicely restored 9' 2/2 5-6wt E.C. Powell B-taper rod. Medium tempered cane with 2-opposed nodes, gold windings and tungsten snake guides. The whole rod was rewrapped, and the stripping guide is a replacement. Bright ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are straight & full length. Black & white wraps at the keeper indicating semi-hollow construction, and the patent number is scripted above those wraps. 6.5" grip is soiled but smooth and has a small chunk missing at the corner of the reel seat hood. Standard Powell screw lock reel seat over black Bakelite spacer. The Marysville CA stamp is intact on thread barrel. Weight is 4.6oz. A B-taper by measurement and feel, on the medium side of medium fast but has surprisingly quick recovery. I like it best with a long belly WF6. The restoration work was nicely done, and this rod is ready to hit the water. Sold in a replacement bag and an original Powell brass capped tube.
