Payne - 8' 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Payne 8' 2/2 5wt bamboo rod in mint restored condition. Marked on the outside of the tube as a 102L but it's more of a 102H by weight (4.2oz) and feel. Medium toned cane with dark snake guides and red agate stripping guide. Blued 13/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight & full length. Strap & ring hook keeper, 6" cork grip (clean & smooth), and cap & ring reel seat over Spanish cedar spacer. All the hardware has been re-blued and remains quite dark, and the butt cap retains the Payne roll stamp. Medium fast action, a fairly crisp dry fly rod, best with a DT5. The restoration work is excellent, and the rod looks unused since its refresh. Sold in the original bag (sans hang tag) and brass capped tube.
