Paul H. Young - Perfectionist 7'6" 2/3, 4-5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Paul H. Young Perfectionist 7'6" 2-piece / 3- tip bamboo rod in very good restored condition. Restored by Bob Summers who also made the 3rd tip. One of the original tips is down about a half inch (approximately the length of the tip top barrel). Flamed cane with 2x2 nodes, oxidized guides and gold wraps. The 3rd tip has slightly lighter colored windings. All sections are straight & serialized (#3838). All the script is in Bob Summers hand, although this rod was made about a year before Paul Young passed away. Bent loop hook keeper, all-cork grip & reel seat with dual slide bands. The cork is soiled but smooth and the black finish on the slide bands remains nice and dark. Weight is 2.95oz, slightly heavier than the scripted weight of 2.70oz. Medium fast, semi-parabolic action. The original tips are best with a 5wt, but most will prefer a DT4 on the 3rd tip. A nicely restored example from the late 1950's, restored and ready for the next 65 years!
