Paul H. Young - Driggs 7'2" 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a scarce Paul Young Driggs model bamboo rod in good used condition, with a few condition notes. 7'2", 2/2 5wt. Serial #4703, this is one of the last rods completely during Bob Summers' tenure at PHY. One tip is completely rewrapped, and the snake guides are not a perfect match. The other tip (I believe the original tip) has a short clear wrap just below the tip top. The butt section appears original and has a 2.75" clear wrap below the ferrule. It's difficult to determine what these wraps are covering. All sections are straight, full length and serialized, and 13/64 ferrules fit perfectly. 2 7/8oz scripted weight, though my scale reads just over 3oz. The original owners name is inked in Bob Summers' hand with the date August 1975. Bent loop hook keeper, 5.75" cork grip and black aluminum reel seat over cork spacer. All the cork is smooth with light soiling. Medium fast, parabolic action. A rather desirable PHY taper. Not without its issues but priced with these in mind. Sold in the original bag and champion style tube with bright aluminum collar.
