Orvis - Rocky Mountain 6'6" 3/2 5wt Impregnated Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an Orvis Rocky Mountain, impregnated 6'6" 3/2 bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #68269, made in 1973. Flamed cane with 3x3 nodes, bright snake guides and carbide stripper. All sections are full length, straight and serialized. Blued ferrules fit perfectly (10/64 & 13/64). 5.5" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with a down-locking aluminum reel seat over walnut spacer. Weight is 3.31oz. Rated as a 6wt but most will prefer it with a DT5. Action on the medium side of medium fast with progressive character. The Orvis Rocky Mountain was a popular model for backpacking and longer hikes into smaller streams. This one is sold in the original bag and aluminum tube with data label affixed.
