Nakao, Kanjiro - 8'6" 2/2 4wt Hollowbuilt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Kanjiro Nakao 8'6" 2/2 4wt hollow bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Tiger flamed bamboo with oxidized snake guides and red agate stripping guide. Wraps are pale olive with darker olive accents. Bright ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a machined ferrule plug. All sections are straight, full length & serialized. At some point the butt section broke below the ferrule and the owner reports that the rod was sent back to Kanjiro who made a new butt section, thus the serial number for the tips (#1405) does not match the butt or the tube label (#1406). 6" grip is smooth with light soiling, and the rod is fitted with an up=locking reel seat over fine wood spacer. The maker's stamp can be seen on the screw collar. Weight is 4.76oz. Rated for a 4wt but some may prefer it with a 5, the action is firmly medium fast and has a crisp, hollow-built feel. Sold in the original tube and bag with matching tube protector.
