Leonard, H.L. - Hunt Model 50-5, 8' 3/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is an H.L. Leonard model 50-5 Hunt, 8' 3/2 5wt in very good used condition. Medium flamed cane with 3x3 nodes, dark guides and agate stripper. Windings are crimson with purple accents at the ferrules and hook keeper. Blued ferrules fit perfectly, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. All sections are full length & serialized (#8486), and the tips have light fish fighting sets. All script is clear and bold, and the original owner's name is inked on the rod. Strap & ring hook keeper and gently swelled butt. 6" cork grip is soiled with some faint ridging present on a few cork rings. Cap & ring reel seat over fine wood spacer. The reel seat bluing shows some wear, but the Leonard roll stamp is retained. Weight is 4.09oz. Medium fast action, a fine Catskill dry fly rod from the final year of the H.L. Leonard Rod Company. Sold in a replacement bag and tube.
