Leonard, H.L. - 7' 2/2 4wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7' 2/2 4wt HL Leonard bamboo rod in excellent restored condition. A pre-fire rod with no hang tag, probably a 38H. There is a Wm. Mills & Son tag on the bag, it's possible the rod was sent back to Leonard for restoration. Wheat straw colored cane with dark snake guides, hard chrome stripping guide and light-yellow windings with orange accents. Bright 11/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are straight & full length. 5" grip is soiled but smooth, and the rod if fitted with the standard Leonard cap & ring reel seat over butternut spacer. Weight is 3oz. Medium fast action, a nice 7-foot dry fly rod with a lightly swelled butt. Beautifully restored and ready to fish. Sold in what looks like the original bag with stiffener and brass capped tube.
