For sale here is a Bob Hosack 7'6" 2/2 5wt hollow built bamboo rod. New from the maker, serial #0124 (the first of this model from 2024). Medium tempered cane, oxidized guides and carbide stripping guide. Wraps are transparent honey with darker brown accents. All sections are full length & straight, and the truncated Swiss ferrules fit perfectly. Female ferrule is fitted with a brass and cork ferrule plug. 5.75" grip is still in the plastic, and the rod is fitted with cap & ring reel seat over dark walnut spacer. Weight is 3.75oz. I cast this model over the summer along with a few other recent hollow builds of Bob's. He has done a nice job with these, and the 7'6" 5wt is a standout. Crisp dry fly action. The rod has a swelled butt and fine tips; it works with a DT or WF5. A brand-new rod, ready for service. Sold in the original bag & brass capped tube and embroidered tube protector.
