For sale here is a Bob Hosack 6'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 3wt bamboo rod in mint, unfished condition. Model 501, serial #0219. Lightly tempered cane with bronzed snake guides and Mildrum stripping guide wrapped in transparent gold windings. All sections are straight, full length and serialized. Overwrapped Swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly, and the female is fitted with a brass and cork ferrule plug. 5.5" cork grip (in the plastic), up-locking slide band reel seat over mortised wood spacer. Bright reel seat hardware with the maker's stamp on the base of the butt cap. A nimble, fast action 3wt with fine tips. A delightful small stream taper. Bob's introduction to cane rods came in the 1970's at the Jenkins rod shop in Denver, and his craftsmanship is superb. This is a new rod, packaged in a T6061 aluminum tube with machined brass cap and embroidered tube protector.
