For sale here is a "Great 8" 8' 3/2 5wt bamboo rod made by R.J. Schneider (High Plains Rods). Flamed bamboo with 3x3 nodes, red agate stripping guide and dark brown windings with black tipping. Ferrules fit perfectly and the females are fitted with brass & cork plugs. All sections are straight & full length, and the tips are marked for ease of rotation. 6.2" grip is soiled but smooth, and the rod is fitted with a cap & ring reel seat over mortised spacer. Weight is 4.83oz. Medium fast, progressive action. A fine dry fly rod with mildly swelled butt. Sold in the original bag and tube with maker's decal affixed.
